Bogollagama new High Commissioner to UK

Former politician Rohitha Bogollagama has been named as Sri Lanka’s next High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.

His appointment will be effective from 1 August 2023. At different times, Bogollagama had served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Industries, Advanced Technology and National Enterprise Development.

He also served as Chairman and Director General of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka. His last position was the Governor of the Eastern Province from July 2017 to December 2018.
