Officials of several institutions including the State Mortgage and Investment Bank and the People›s Bank have been summoned to appear before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) in the coming weeks.
Among these are the institutions which were scheduled to be summoned during the first session of the ninth Parliament, COPE Chairman MP Charitha Herath said.
Officials from the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) have been asked to appear on 23 February and the Sri Lanka Standards Institution will be summoned on 24 February.
Development Lotteries Board officials are scheduled to appear before COPE on 10 March whilst the Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA) is scheduled for 11 March.
The State Mortgage and Investment Bank was summoned before the COPE Committee on 23 March, the Sri Lanka Export Development Board was summoned on the 24 March and the People›s Bank on 25 March.
