COVID-19 deaths rise to 35; highest day tally since mid-Oct.

Health officials confirmed 35 COVID-19 fatalities on Monday, the highest number of fatalities confirmed in a day since mid-October 2021.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 35 COVID-19 fatalities were confirmed on 10 October and the highest number confirmed in a day since then was on 22 November, when 31 COVID-19 fatalities were confirmed.

The COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Monday raise the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 15,656.28 fatalities confirmed on Monday were over the age of 60, while five fatalities were between 30 and 59 years and two fatalities were below 30 years.

The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.22% of the total COVID-19 deaths are from the over-60 age group, 22.51% are from the 30 to 59 age group, and 1.27% are from the under-30 age group.

Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 8,807 are male and 6,849 are female.

22 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Monday were male and 13 were female.
