The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) announced the inaugural CSSL CEO Conclave at NITC 2021 with the theme ‘Survive and Flourish in Emerging Futures’ at a recent press conference held at the Ministry of Technology, at One Galle Face Colombo 2.
The CSSL CEO Conclave is an exclusive session for 100 Sri Lankan CEOs on technology trends and their impact on conventional business models. Technology, business leaders and domain experts will share evolution strategies for CEOs to transform conventional business models to survive the disruption threats with strategies to convert them via Industry 4.0 into new opportunities.
The conclave is a new feature added this year for Sri Lanka’s flagship ICT conference, the National Information Technology Conference (NITC 2021) organised by the Computer Society of Sri Lanka. It is scheduled from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday 8 November as a virtual forum. State Minister of Urban Development, Waste Disposal and Community Cleanliness Dr. Nalaka Godahewa will be the Chief Guest and deliver the keynote.
CSSL President Damith Hettihewa launching the event said: “Digital disruption is threatening conventional businesses and the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digital transformation across the business landscape. In the meantime Industry 4.0 is creating novel opportunities for growth and wealth creation for businesses as well as countries. The CSSL strongly advocates national leveraging of Industry 4.0 to create a wealthy Sri Lanka. Against this backdrop, CSSL under its ‘Contribute’ pillar of its 2021 strategic plan decided to create an opportunity for Sri Lankan CEOs to interact with global technology leaders and local business leaders who would share evolutionary strategies for CEOs to thrive and grow in a volatile local and global future – the rationale behind the CSSL CEO Conclave’s theme ‘Survive and Flourish in emerging Futures’.” The inaugural CEO Conclave at NITC 2021 will feature a fireside chat with local and global business leaders and thinkers headed by Dr. Godahewa. The panel will consist of Ministry of Technology Secretary Jayantha De Silva, SLT Chairman Rohan Fernando, GHD Digital USA President and invited member of Forbes Business Council Kumar Parakala, People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapaksa and CSSL President and Nimbus Cloud Lanka Ltd. Managing Director Damith Hettihewa. The session will be moderated by Arjuna Seneviratne, leading development strategist and former Director of the Strategic Enterprise Management Agency (SEMA).
