CTB launches luxury bus service on BIA-Makumbura route

Airport Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd., yesterday announced that a CTB luxury bus service is now operational between Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and the Makumbura Multi-Modal Centre, offering an enhanced transportation option for travellers.

The buses stationed on the main road adjacent to the Police Station in Katunayake, ensures convenient access for passengers.

The move is seen as a replacement for the previous luxury shuttle service between BIA and Colombo introduced in collaboration with the Transport and Highways Ministry in August 2024, which was halted few days after the launch (https://www.ft.lk/front-page/Luxury-shuttle-service-to-improve-airport-accessibility/44-765593).
