Cabinet approves cable car project in Nuwara Eliya

 Cabinet this week approved a cable car project in Nuwara Eliya to boost foreign and domestic tourism.

The Government said Outdoor Engineering Lanka Ltd. and its foreign partner Dopelme Cable Car Company submitted a proposal to start a cable car project from Nanu Oya to Gregory Lake through Single Tree Mountain. 

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Minister of Plantation Industries Navin Dissanayake to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding to implement this as a Board of Investment project.
