Cabinet nod to grant land from Regional Industrial Estates for investors

• 8 selected investors will invest around Rs. 726 m in projects
• Around 270 employment opportunities due to be generated

Cabinet this week gave approval to allocate land to eight investors to initiate projects in Regional Industrial Estates coming under the Ministry of Industries and Supply Chain Management.

The project proposals of these investors show Investments of around Rs. 726.3 million for the implementation of these projects while 270 direct employment opportunities are expected to be generated. Cabinet approved the proposal presented by Minister of Industries and Supply Chain Management Wimal Weerawansa to allocate these lands to identified investors for this purpose. The Project Evaluation Committee of the Ministry has recommended the allocation of this land.
