Central Bank TU joins 1 March strike by Professional Trade Union Alliance

Central Bank Trade Union Alliance yesterday said it will join the island-wide token strike on Wednesday organised by the Professional Trade Union Alliance (PTUA).

Due to this action, it said there could be possible disruption to the operations of the Employees’ Provident Fund Department, cash counters and regional offices.

The trade union action follows the Government declining demands by PTUA which consists of 40 trade unions representing a wide spectrum of professions, with regard to amending the oppressive tax policy regime.
