Ceylon Chamber of Commerce unveils ‘Vision 2030’ to President

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) presented a comprehensive policy document titled ‘Vision 2030’ to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday. 

This strategic roadmap aims to guide Sri Lanka towards sustainable and inclusive development by 2030.

‘Vision 2030’ outlines the economic trajectory Sri Lanka should follow over the next five years, detailing necessary policy changes across various sectors and their anticipated benefits to the economy. 

The document’s ambitious goals include achieving a 6.5% GDP growth rate and reducing inflation and unemployment rates below 5%.

Key objectives of ‘Vision 2030’ focus on enhancing education, healthcare, agriculture and digital infrastructure. The policy document also highlights fostering public-private partnerships, implementing regulatory reforms, making substantial infrastructure investments and ensuring climate change readiness.

Key figures from the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce attended the event, including Chairman Duminda Hulangamuwa, Vice Chairman Krishan Balendra, Deputy Vice Chairman Bingumal Thewarathanthri, Board Member Supun Weerasinghe, Secretary General/CEO Buwanekabahu Perera, Deputy Secretary General/Chief Operating Officer/Financial Controller Alikie Perera, Sanjay Ariyawansa and Manjula De Silva.
