Correction and apology

In the Daily FT yesterday we had published an incorrect picture and caption regarding former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa being flown in to attend Parliament sessions on Wednesday.

Air Force said the image was a flight carried out by SLAF to former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to travel to Kandy on 28 October 2018 when he was appointed as the Prime Minister in 2018 (during the previous Government).

We sincerely regret the error and apologise to former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Sri Lanka Air Force.
