Credence Genomics gets PCR testing contract from Govt.

The Ministry of Health has given the approval to Credence COVID Diagnostics Centre to handle all tourist arrivals, outbound passengers, hotel guests, airports and seaports along with companies in the Board of Investment Industrial zones. Another unique feature Credence Genomics COVID Diagnostics Centre offers is environmental testing for the presence of COVID-19 for schools and workplaces. 

In a statement Credence Genomics said its COVID Diagnostics Centre of is the fastest and highest throughput operational testing facility in Sri Lanka with a reporting time of four hours. 

The facility uses state-of-the-art automated RNA extractors with a diagnostic grade RT-PCR platform developed in Denmark across its sterile pressure-controlled facility adhering to internationally accepted Quality Control and Assurance system.

Credence Genomics COVID Diagnostics Centre has teamed up with Abans PLC to provide an integrated sanitisation solution to ensure a safe COVID free environment.

COVID Diagnostics Centre President Dr. Sarath Paranavitane said: “We feel that COVID needs to be dealt with holistically and going beyond conventional testing, we are now looking at ensuring that workplaces and schools are also safe and COVID-free using a validated and state-of-the-art testing process.”
