Damro, South Asia’s largest furniture manufacturer, has planned to set up 25 mega showrooms within the next six months, further strengthening its showroom network in India.
It currently operates about 80 showrooms in India and the continued confidence of the Indian customers in Damro products has greatly contributed to the success of the company.
The company’s ability to continue and thrive in the face of the current COVID-19 pandemic in India is a clear indication of its stability in the country, Damro said in a statement.
Its ability to carry on its business operation despite the catastrophic situation like the corona epidemic and the extensive customer base it has built up over the past 20 years have confirmed the future growth and sustainability of the company in the Indian market.
Damro currently exports more than 100 40ft-containers per month to India. Due to the prevailing curfew situation in Sri Lanka, local showroom sales have dropped significantly and therefore the company aims to enhance its Indian operation to ensure the job security of Damro employees in Sri Lanka.
“The company expects to increase its exports to more than 150 40ft-containers per month with the expected sales growth through the proposed expansion of Indian showroom network,” the statement added.
