Deloitte says scaling up operations in Sri Lanka, Maldives

Global consulting firm Deloitte said yesterday it is scaling up its operations in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, which will enable it to provide more robust innovative and multi-disciplinary solutions.

It said the move is to meet the evolving needs of Deloitte clients, people and the communities it serves. “This expansion will allow us to continue to make an impact that matters in our ever growing and changing market,” a Deloitte Sri Lanka spokesperson said.

In response to the Daily FT article about PricewaterhouseCoopers Sri Lanka partners and staff joining the Deloitte South Asia network (https://www.ft.lk/front-page/SL-to-miss-PwC-as-existing-partners-staff-to-join-Deloitte-South-Asia-network-from-end-Oct/44-753877), the Deloitte Sri Lanka said PwC firms in Sri Lanka and Maldives on joining the Deloitte South Asia and will work in close collaboration with Deloitte Associates. SJMS Associates was part of Deloitte South Asia and on 19 September 2023 officially changed its name to Deloitte Associates.
