Business leader-turned SLPP MP Dhammika Perera on Saturday said the Mahinda Chinthanaya policy remains the solution for a better Sri Lanka.
He made this observation during the ceremony in Kalutara to mark 27 years in politics by SLPP MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena.
Perera recalled that it was the Mahinda Chinthanaya which ensured an economy which in 2005 was at $ 1,250 per capita to $ 3,850 by 2015. That 10 year period saw the economy expanding by $ 2,600 per capita and since then there hadn’t been any considerable progress since barriers to growth remained unaddressed.
“If Sri Lanka follows Mahinda Chinthanaya policies, ensuring growth in the country and prosperity for people isn’t a big challenge,” said Perera adding ‘Mahinda Chinthanaya policy was result oriented.’
