Dial 1905 to report public sector bribery and corruption

The Government has introduced a new hotline 1905 to receive public complaints about acts of bribery or corruption being committed by state sector employees. 

The hotline will be managed by the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government. 

Accordingly, members of the public can forward complaints regarding bribery and corruption about any government employee serving in District Secretariats, Divisional Secretariats, and Grama Niladhari offices through this hotline which will be operational in all three national languages. 

Additionally, complaints on similar acts committed by those serving at the Registrar General's Department, and the Pensions Department can also be directed to the same number.

The public can also call 1954 to report any requests for bribes made by people’s representatives or officials serving in state institutions, provincial councils or other local government institutions.
