Dialog mobile 4G sites network tops 4,700 mark

Dialog Axiata has surpassed 4,700 mobile 4G sites in its network by the end of 2022, the highest ever tower count recorded in Sri Lanka, as a result of its ongoing efforts to expand coverage and support customers during these unprecedented times. 

Dialog has also achieved 95% 4G Data population coverage, using Green Field towers to rapidly expand its coverage to deep rural communities and Lamp Pole solutions to meet urgent capacity requirements in dense areas.

As part of its expansion and enhancing connectivity, Dialog recently commissioned a tower in the village of Madolsima in the Badulla district under the ‘Sew Desatama Dialog’ initiative.

The Madolsima tower was commissioned alongside additional towers in the villages of Nikapitiya and Karandagama in the Badulla district. Towers were also built in the villages of Pahariya, Panirendawa, Kumbuk wewa and Medagama in the Puttalam district. 

Dialog said this initiative further reiterates its commitment to empowering and enriching Sri Lankan lives through improved connectivity to every corner of the country.
