The High Commission of India, in partnership with the Ministry of Technology, Government of Sri Lanka will hold a conference on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) on 26 March 2024 in Colombo.
The conference will explore the transformative potential of DPI for enabling service delivery, empowering communities by fostering inclusivity and enriching the economy by driving innovation.
It will commence with an opening plenary session, where the keynote address will be delivered by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The opening plenary will be followed by two panel discussions. The first ‘Accelerating Digital Sri Lanka’ will focus on how DPI simplifies governance and improves accessibility for the citizens. The second ‘Unlocking the Digital Stack’ will discuss DPI’s use cases including in the start-up domain, marrying technology, markets and governance.
The two panels will be opened by State Minister of Technology Kanaka Herath and SJB MP Harsha de Silva respectively. The two panels will have experts from India and Sri Lanka bringing in a wealth of knowledge and experience, representing various sectors and perspectives on digital infrastructure and governance.
