Dr. Senthilverl ups stake in Agarapatana to 10%, Kotagala to 5%

Low profile but high net worth investor Dr. T. Senthilverl through Senthilverl Holdings Ltd., last week upped his stake in Agarapatana Plantations PLC to over 10%.

This is following purchases on Thursday and Friday.

Dr. Senthilverl’s move has created interest in this share by an increase of nearly 14.56% in the price. It hit a 52-week high of Rs. 10.80 before closing at Rs. 10.60, up by Rs. 1.90 from the previous week.

Last week, Agarapatana saw nearly 95 million of its shares traded for Rs. 880 million.

Analysts said Dr. Senthilverl is investing in Agarapatana sensing future upside.

Further, his purchase of Kotagala Plantations PLC on Friday saw an increase in the share price by nearly 20%. He is estimated to be owning 5% stake in Kotagala following last week’s purchases.
