High net worth but low profile investor Dr. T. Senthilverl has increased his stake in Laxapana Batteries PLC to over 10%.
This was following the acquisition of 699,581 shares at Rs. 18 yesterday via Senthilverl Holdings Ltd., as per the disclosure made by the buying broker Senfin Securities’ Mohamed Riyas. The share price closed at Rs. 18.10, up by 60 cents from Wednesday. Dr. Senthilverl now holds 6.7 million shares in Laxapana Batteries. As at 31 December 2023, he controlled 7.7% stake. E.B. Creasy and Company and related parties control around 80% stake in Laxapana Batteries PLC. The Company is in the forefront of applying LED technology revolutionising energy efficient and long-lasting electric lighting products.
