The Election Commission (EC) will meet day to decide on a new date for holding of the General Election.
The Daily FT learns two dates under consideration are 25 July, 8 August and 15 August.
However, the Gazette with the new election date is unlikely to be published till Monday, as the EC has yet to receive the guidelines from the Health Ministry on how the election can be conducted during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
Another round of talks with Returning Officers and public officials involved in the conduct of the poll are also due.
The Gazette notification with the preferential numbers of all candidates is expected to be issued today.
The EC will also republish media guidelines to be followed during the election today.
