Energy Minister says no fuel price revision this week

• Assures ample stocks by both CPC and LIOC to meet demand
• Calls on dealers to place orders for requirements

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera yesterday confirmed that there will be no fuel price revision this week.  Taking to Twitter, the Minister claimed that the non-placement of orders by dealers anticipating a price reduction has led to fuel stations drying up. 

“The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and the Lanka India Oil Company (LIOC) both have ample stocks to fulfil requirements guaranteed by NFP. I request the dealers to place orders for their requirements,” he added.
