The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) revealed yesterday that the estimated value of services exports in the first 11 months of 2023 grew by 68.72% to $ 2,908.61 million compared to the previous year.
The services exports estimated by EDB consist of ICT/BPM, construction, financial services and transport and logistics.
The value of ICT exports is estimated to increase by 47.91 % to $ 1,520 million in the period January to November 2023 compared to the corresponding period in 2022. In addition, construction, financial, transport and logistics services exports are estimated to increase by 788.1 %, 73.72 % and 93.92 % respectively in the period January to November 2023 compared with the corresponding period in 2022.
In November, the estimated value of ICT exports is expected to increase by 96 % to $ 166.01 million compared to November 2022. The value of transport and logistics services exports is expected to increase by 54.7 % in November 2023 compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
