The foreign holding in rupee bonds recorded an increase of Rs. 16.38 billion for the week ending 15 March, according to Wealth Trust Securities.
In the week ending 9 March foreign holding in rupee bonds increased by Rs. 7 billion.In the forex market, the USD/LKR rate on spot contacts was seen depreciating during the week to close the week at Rs. 337.00/345.00 against its previous week’s closing levels of Rs. 320.00/323.00 subsequent to trading within a weekly high of Rs. 323.00 to a low of Rs. 340.00.
The daily USD/LKR average traded volume for the first four days of the week stood at $ 47.73 million.
