Foreigners bullish on Govt. Securities

Foreign investments in Government Securities surpassed Rs. 80 billion mark by February, according to charts.lk.

It said foreigners added a further Rs. 1.6 billion to their portfolios on a net basis at the end of february 2025.

“Foreigners were aggressive in adding Rs. 11 billion and Rs. 9 billion in December and January to their portfolio respectively. However, it was decelerated during February. Despite attractive real returns, the currency volatility would force them towards wait and see approach,” added www.charts.lk.
