Fuel prices cut by Rs. 5

The Finance Ministry has reduced the prices of all kinds of fuel from Rs. 5 with effect from midnight, Labour, Foreign Employment and Petroleum Resources Minister Gamini Lokuge said.

Accordingly, the prices of Lanka Petrol (Octane 92 and 95), Lanka Auto Diesel and Super Diesel would be reduced by Rs. 5.

Lanka IOC has also revised prices of its Auto Fuels, effective midnight (1 December). Lanka IOC reduced the price of Lanka Auto Diesel (LAD) by Rs. 5 per litre and Lanka Petrol 92 (LP92) by Rs. 5 per litre as well. Similarly, Lanka IOC also reduced price of Super Diesel (Euro 4) and Xtra Premium 95 Petrol (Euro 4) by Rs. 5 per litre even though the company is incurring huge losses from sale of Auto Fuels.
