Gas distributor ups stake in Sigiriya Village Hotel to 10%

Suhada Gas Distributors Ltd., (SGD) has upped its stake in Sigiriya Village Hotel PLC to 10% recently.

Bartleet Religare Securities yesterday disclosed to the Colombo Stock Exchange that as at 13 December, SGD has 87,237 shares at Rs. 82-Rs. 90 per share, thereby completing the acquisition of 10.13% of the issued shares of the company.

Quantity of prior shareholding (including other accounts) was 824,308 shares or 9.16%, and post-purchase it increased the stake to 10.13%.

Yesterday a Sigiriya Village share closed at Rs. 83.50, up by Rs. 1.20 or 2%. Colombo Fort Hotels own 51% stake in the company, along with Union Investments (13%).
