In a major step towards the digitalisation of Government services, Sri Lanka is set to launch the ‘GovPay’ digital payment platform on 7 February.
The launch ceremony will be held under the patronage of Finance Minister Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The initiative is the first step towards the Government’s broader strategy to enhance public sector efficiency through digital innovation.
The ‘GovPay’ platform is expected to streamline and modernise transactions conducted through Government institutions, enabling seamless and secure transactions through an efficient digital system, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
