Govt. enters collective agreement with CEB, CPC trade unions to axe rewards

The Government yesterday announced that a collective agreement was entered with trade unions of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) for no benefits.

“The 25% salary increment every three years, annual bonuses, allowances and other benefits will not be continued or renewed,” Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said via Twitter yesterday.

He said Ministry Secretary has been instructed to commence the process to terminate the rewards.
