Govt. outlines conditions for airline crew operating to SL

The public health authorities and the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka yesterday outlined strict conditions required to be followed by the crew of airlines operating to Sri Lanka.

The conditions outlined are as follows:

1. All flight and cabin crew who arrive on flights to Sri Lanka should strictly adhere to the procedures and hygienic measures adopted by the Government to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

2. Crew should undergo thermal scanning at airport.

3. Crew should hand over the filled health declaration forms to the Airport Health Office and after the necessary health clearance will be permitted to enter Sri Lanka.

4. Crew is strictly instructed to self-quarantine at the location mentioned in the health declaration form and have meals only through in-room dining until they operate the next flight out of the airport to their planned destinations under strict instructions given by the Ministry of Health and Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.

5. Crew shall wear a mask at all times except in their respective crew rooms.

6. Each crew member should maintain a distance of at least one metre from others at all times.

7. Crew should practice hand hygienic measures.

8. Crew should be transported by an identified vehicle and vehicle cleaning measures should be carried out by the relevant agencies.

9. Crew members who indicate any symptoms of COVID-19 or come in contact with any COVID-19 positive persons should inform the health authorities of Sri Lanka immediately.
