Govt. reduces fuel prices

Petrol reduced by Rs. 2 and Super Diesel by Rs. 5

The Finance Ministry yesterday said fuel prices had been reduced in line with international prices.

Accordingly, a litre of Petrol (Octane 92) will be decreased by Rs. 2 and the revised price is Rs. 136; Petrol (Octane 95) will be sold at Rs. 159, decreased by Rs.5 per litre. One litre of Super Diesel will be lowered by Rs. 5, and the new price will be Rs.131.

However, the price of Lanka Kerosene and Auto Diesel will remain unchanged at Rs. 70 and Rs. 104 per litre.
