The famous Pusswedilla has been stirred up by ‘Grow up Nana’ and also a remark in Parliament by President Ranil Wickremesinghe about not reading newspapers judging by a post in the Chaminda Pusswedilla Facebook Page.
https://www.facebook.com/pusswedilla/ had this post yesterday. “My aadaraneeya Peoples of Arsikland. I may be silence a bit these days but I olways hearing what is happening in Arsikland. Now, I hearing that some fellow colled ‘Nana’ is tolking about me and oll. He is cumming to the Lynel Went.
Oll I want to know is how and why did the H.G.H.E. Chaminda Pusswedilla Arsikland Nashnel Theatre (which is a very very nice name for any theatre) change its name to the Lynel Went? This is a problem in Ariskland becose I had to find out about this in a newspaper! Luckily for me I olways read OLL the newspapers in Arsikland, even the ones published by the Wijeya Newspapers....” giving a link to an article (https://www.ft.lk/entertainment-art/Grow-Up-Nana-Feroze-s-solo-call-to-Muslims-and-others/10405-755484?fbclid=IwAR381pfXrI3gx9jbmTfKplC1lKoYlCzc8hY1nNlWP0XBfTWZpAGAisXsDLI ) in the Daily FT about latest satire play by the famous Feroze Kamardeen ‘Grow Up Nana’ opening show of which was staged last night. Feroze is also credited with the script for the famous Pusswedilla series.
The latter remark by Pusswedilla is an apparent reference to President Wickremesinghe claiming in Parliament this week that he doesn’t read newspapers published by Wijeya Newspapers in response to poser by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
