HNB wants Acuity Partners to be wholly owned subsidiary

Hatton National Bank (HNB) has expressed interest to make the investment banking venture Acuity Partners Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary.

At present HNB owns 50% stake in Acuity and the balance is held by DFCC Bank.

HNB said its Board of Directors has granted approval to commence discussions with DFCC Bank in this regard. 

DFCC in a separate announcement said it is in talks with HNB to divest the 50% stake in Acuity Partners, subject to Board and regulatory approval.

Acuity Partners is a leading Investment Bank and was recognised as the most respected Investment Bank in Sri Lanka for 2023 by LMD, and was additionally recognised as one of the Top 100 Brands in Sri Lanka by Brand Finance for the 2nd successive year in 2023.

Acuity offers a comprehensive suite of products and services that include Corporate Finance, Equities, Fixed Income Securities and Venture Capital.
