Harin hopes President will take national Govt. route

Tourism and Land Minister Harin Fernando yesterday expressed hope that the new President Ranil Wickremesinghe will take the national Government route to bring greater stability and fast track revival of the economy. 

Fernando was a key figure in wooing extra backing from Opposition MPs for Wickremesinghe during the Parliamentary secret ballot. 

His comment on a national Government was soon after he was sworn in as Minister of the same portfolio he held between mid-May and till recently. 

He said that the Cabinet will be expanded shortly in a bid to ensure a national Government.
