Hayleys tops in 2Q and 1H performance

Most diversified blue chip Hayleys has posted impressive results in the 2Q and 1H of FY24 outperforming other conglomerates as per interim results.

Hayleys has achieved an after tax profit of Rs. 1.8 billion in 2Q and Rs. 3.1 billion in 1H reflecting resilience despite 74% and 87% lower respectively in comparison to the corresponding period of last year.

Group turnover in 1H was Rs. 202 billion down by 20% and Rs. 105 billion in 2Q lower by 19%.

Pre-tax profit amounted to Rs. 7 billion in 1H and Rs. 4.8 billion in 2Q.

Top line of all segments of Hayleys saw growth in 1H and remained profitable though lower in comparison to FY23 except the leisure sector.
