IFC takes up 14.73% stake in Sunshine Healthcare for Rs. 3.27 b

The World Bank’s private sector investor arm, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), has acquired a 14.73% stake in Sunshine Healthcare Lanka Ltd., for Rs. 3.27 billion.

The deal was first announced mid-this year and Sunshine on Friday said the shares amounting to 1.9 million were issued on 3 October following receipt of funds. The balance stake of 85.27% is held by Sunshine Holdings PLC.
