IFS unveils revolutionary industrial AI solutions

Global leader in enterprise software IFS yesterday in Orlando, Florida announced a slew of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to lead the next industrial revolution.

“IFS is creating a class leading industrial AI platform that empowers customers globally to dynamically manage their mission critical assets, workflows, people and services in a responsible manner,” IFS CEO Mark Moffat said at the inauguration of its biannual global conference in Orlando attended by 3,000 customers, partners, analysts and journalists including the Daily FT.

He said that the IFS.ai powered features will revolutionise industries and businesses enhancing efficiency and sustainability whilst reducing cost. Moffat emphasised that all firms must have a business plan for AI.

Focussing on six core sectors – aerospace/defence; construction/engineering; Energy/Utilities and Resources; Manufacturing; Service Industries and Telecommunications, IFS provides Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), and Field Service Management (FSM).

Sri Lanka is responsible for several core functions of IFS global operations including Research and Development and a substantial part of its 7,000 workforce.

At the three-day 2024 Unleashed event in Orland, IFS also announced the introduction of new IFS.ai-powered features in the IFS Cloud 24R2 release, focusing on delivering maximum value to asset and service-intensive industries and elevating the user experience to drive Industrial AI adoption at scale. 

IFS Cloud is a fully composable AI-powered platform, designed for ultimate flexibility and adaptability to customers’ specific requirements and business evolution.

IFS technology leverages AI, machine learning, real-time data and analytics to empower customers to make informed strategic decisions and excel at their ‘Moment of Service.’

Moffat said that new solutions announced were part of IFS mission to be the world’s “undisputed category leader in industrial software.”

At the inauguration IFS demonstrated over 20 use cases of its industrial AI developed in collaboration with customers and partners.

IFS Chief Product Officer Christian Pedersen told the inauguration that the company has developed over 60 high value AI use cases. In a video message Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella described IFS industrial AI as “transformative”.
