Indian travel agents leadership arrive ahead of annual conference in Colombo

Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) President Jyoti Mayal and Directors Balbir Singh and Kavi Kohli arrived yesterday ahead of the organisation’s annual conference in Colombo later this week which will see participation of over 500 of its members. 

President Ranil Wickremesinghe will be the Chief Guest at the inauguration on 6 July at the BMICH.

This highly acclaimed convention will also consist of a two-day business sessions and a buyer and seller meet in two different venues. 

Outbound trips from India will surpass $ 42 billion by 2024, according to reports with 70% of the traffic towards Asia. In the next 3-5 years, the financial impact of Indian customers around the globe where they travel to would be at least 20%. The main sponsor is Sri Lanka Tourism. Mayal and the team were received on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport by SLAITO Director Paddy Paul and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau officials.
