The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has decided to postpone its 66th Annual Convention to July, which was originally scheduled to be held next week in Colombo.
The economic and political unrest in the country has compelled TAAI to postpone the three-day convention from 19 to 21 July.
Originally, the event was scheduled to be held from next Tuesday (19) to Thursday (21) in Colombo drawing over 500 delegates from India.
“TAAI is committed to support Sri Lanka even though they have received invitations from two other destinations. They have decided to reschedule the 66th Annual Convention, as they wish to reiterate that supporting Sri Lanka is a top priority for them,” the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) said.
