Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera |
Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera yesterday affirmed that despite the strong opposition from the trade unions, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) reformation will be implemented.
He said even after meeting, discussing, and conveying importance of reforms to the CPC, trade unions affiliated with all political parties are to oppose the proposed reforms to the State-run organisation.
“CPC and CEB reforms are a must and will continue to work to implement it,” Wijesekera opines via a tweet.
The Minister also cautioned the public that the CPC trade unions have scheduled a massive protest march against reforms.
As per the image shared on the scheduled trade action, it is to take place opposite CPC premises today.
