Kanchana assures to add amendments to Electricity Bill at committee stage

Talking to X (formerly Twitter) following the Supreme Court judgement, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara said all the amendments suggested by the Supreme Court determination on the Electricity Bill are accepted.

“Most of the amendments were agreed during the Supreme Court hearing on the Electricity sector reforms bill three weeks ago,” he said adding the amendments suggested by the Supreme Court will be moved during the committee stage for approval.
