Pioneering business magazine LMD has released its annual list of leading corporate personalities - Businesspeople Of The Year (BOTY) - which pays tribute to the corporate front-runners in 2017.
Now in its eight year, the BOTY presentation is based on nominations received from LMD’s contributors, as well as an in-house think tank led by the publisher’s editorial and management teams.
“This year’s hall of fame showcases 23 leaders from among the best in Sri Lanka’s corporate community to coincide with LMD’s 23rd anniversary,” a spokesperson for LMD says.
She continues: “The 2017 BOTY lineup is anchored by those who helm the nation’s trailblazing conglomerates, and they are closely followed by heads from the banking sector and apparel industry. Real estate and insurance also feature prominently in our lineup, and there are representatives from the tea, tourism, telecom and motor sectors as well.”
“Professionals and engineers sit at the top of the BOTY podium with lawyers, accountants and economists also making their mark by virtue of having more than one representative in the hall of fame,” the spokesperson adds.
The magazine, its publisher Media Services says, has been released to leading bookstores and supermarkets.
