Labour Dept. unveils e-survey to assess private sector labour demand for 2022

The Department of Labour has launched an e-survey to identify the labour demand required by the private sector in 2022.

The department has requested private sector companies to complete the e-survey available at https://sites.google.com/view/labourdept/home?authuser=1 or through its official website www.labourdept.gov.lk and submit on or before 31 August.

The objective of the initiative is to re-strengthen the economy severely affected by the COVID pandemic by increasing the productivity of the private sector.

The data collected through the survey will also be observed to understand the labour demand in the private sector companies to meet their expected targets for the next year.

It is said that the data collected would be extremely important to take prudent policies in terms of protecting both businesses and employees.

The Department of Labour has assured the confidentiality of data submitted by the private sector.
