State-run Litro Gas Lanka yesterday announced that its domestic gas prices will increase from today (4).
Speaking to journalists Litro Gas Chairman Muditha Peiris stated that the price of a 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder is expected to increase by Rs. 75 to Rs. 3,545.
Peiris explained that the decision to adjust prices was in response to the surge in global gas prices, which had a direct impact on the company’s operational costs.
This move marks the eighth revision in gas prices made by Litro Gas this year — three times upwards and five times downwards. The company did not revise prices in March and August.
