Litro, LAUGFS to further slash LPG prices 

The price of domestic gas cylinders will be further reduced from Wednesday night, Litro Gas Lanka Ltd. Chairman Muditha Peiris announced yesterday.

He said prices will be revised based on the Government introduced pricing formula, as international prices have dropped too. LAUGFS Gas too announced a similar move. 

During last month’s revision, the price of a 12.5 kg cylinder in Colombo was reduced by Rs. 113 to Rs. 4,551, while a 5 kg cylinder was reduced by Rs. 45 to Rs. 1,827 and a 2.3 kg cylinder was reduced by Rs. 21 to Rs. 842.

In addition to the price reduction, he said the Government has also managed to resolve the LP gas shortage which was prevalent earlier in the year.
