MSCI Frontier Market Index adds LOLC

LOLC Holdings Plc has been added to the MSCI Frontier Markets Index, its compiler Morgan Stanley announced yesterday.

LOLC Holdings Plc is regarded as by far the most profitable and most global Sri Lankan multinational. Yesterday its share price gained by 5% or Rs. 54.50 close at Rs. 1,099.25. Its market capitalisation was Rs. 522.36 billion or 9.46% of the Colombo Stock Exchange. However LOLC continues lag behind Expolanka Holdings whose market capitalisation is Rs. 621.6 billion.
