SLPP MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage |
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage yesterday voiced concerns regarding the accuracy of data and figures provided by the Finance Ministry.
Speaking in Parliament he called on the President, Government officials and the Cabinet to exercise caution when relying on information from the Finance Ministry.
Aluthgamage stressed the importance of thorough scrutiny, pointing to instances where Ministry officials themselves acknowledged submitting erroneous data to the Financial Fund.
He also highlighted a significant discrepancy of Rs. 1 trillion between the data provided by the Finance Ministry and the figures intended for use in the recent President’s address to Parliament.
