Majority of market participants expect rate cut

Despite T-Bill rates turning up and down, the majority (46%) public expects a rate cut at the monetary policy meeting to be announced today says Charts.lk.

It said 35% of the public expect CBSL may wait and see by not changing the CBSL benchmarked rate as they already eased the market by a 2% SRR cut and injected estimated Rs. 200 billion liquidity to the market recently.
