Former Minister and MP Mangala Samaraweera yesterday warned that the Military action in Myanmar was a red light for Sri Lanka.

In a tweet, Samaraweera said: “When military is brought into the corridors of Civilian Administrative power, it is inevitable they will end up wanting to take on the role of the Elections Commission as well as the judiciary in deciding validity of the people’s mandate. A red light for Sri Lanka from Myanmar.”
