Mass protests continue overnight

The mass anti-Government protests continued overnight for the second day at the Galle Face green area, urging the Rajapaksa regime to go home.

The protest campaign started on Saturday morning and thousands braved adverse weather overnight and continued their action for the whole of yesterday. 

Protesters put up temporary camp tents for shelter last night whilst volunteers supplied food, water and other essentials as  the campaign was extended till today to thwart the formation of a new Cabinet followed by its meeting.
