May Day rally line up

May Day rallies of the three largest political factions in the country are to take place in the next few days in various parts of the island. 

The UNP May Day rally has been brought forward to tomorrow, and will be held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo. 

The SLFP will have their May Day rally on Monday (7 May) as scheduled, and it will take place in Chenkalady, Batticaloa. 

The Joint Opposition rally will be on Monday too, and has been planned to be held in Galle. 

Meanwhile, the JVP will hold their May Day rally at the BRC Grounds with the march to begin from Campbell Park. The JVP also held a rally in Jaffna on 1 May.
